New 19” LCD advice

Postby ssar » Sun Oct 30, 2005 4:49 am

I need to buy a 19” LCD monitor for my PC (in Australia).
Pref. Brand new, for less than AUD$700
I am seeing LG, Samsung, Benq, Polyview, Hyundai, Philips, CMV, Magview, Acer, Viewsonic brands mainly in that price range.
I am also seeing 8ms response time as reasonable, 4ms seems too expensive. 12ms would be fine I guess??
Don’t really need it for high end graphical gaming etc.
Any advice?

Until I bought the crazy-huge monitor, my Samsung 712N was great (912N would be the 19"). It ran $270 when I got it. 600-1 contrast 8ms. I'd still be using it if it weren't for the 37".

I have a 172x samsung and at 12ms it doesn't ghost during BF2, FEAR, WoW, etc... so if you find a better priced good 12ms monitor, by all means, you wont be missing out on much.
