Amak is the main reason why there aren't any senior wizards of the arcane brotherhood.

i have no idea what this means. anyways, i think i got mirar off finally. next problem.
command service virus.
surfsidekick.
and E2Give.
i'm but working to remove surfsidekick, but it might've found a way back on.
i'm leading towards re-formatting my harddrive, if it seems i'm just replacing 1 problem for another.
super frustrated soker

Were you trying to download pr0n or something?

ahh viruses
start by disabling what ever antivirus you have currently, go to
www.download.com and download avast home edition.
install it, making sure to say yes when it asks about the boot time scan, right click the spinning a in the task bar, update the IVAS
it will do a pre windows file protection scan of your computer, make sure you try to clean anything that looks offical in the windows32 folder, but its not that big a deal because problems caused there can be fixed by a repair install. delete viruses ... will post more later gotta go

ok when your done with the preboot scan and ready to boot into windows you will have the problem of 2 antivirus programs on one computer. you will need to shut down the system when the pre boot scan is done and then reboot it using the F8 key to enter safe mode. Once in safe mode you can remove avast antivirus through the add remove programs control panel icon
also note that this may cause problems with your lsp stack. I reccomend downloading a program called winsock fix before you start, that way you will have it ready to go after you run the avast scan and then find that you cant connect to the internet.

HijackThis. 'Nuff said.
Just download it, run it, post the log results to a forum where HJT experts can tell you what to remove. Easy as that. And stop downloading shoe pr0n, Sok.

HJT is great, in the hands of a professional. I was going for a more automated approach.

If you post the log in one of the HJT forums, they point out exactly what lines you need to remove. If you can't follow simple instructions like that, maybe you deserved the malware/virii/hijack. :P

removing the lines does little for the actual trojan
you have to remove the files that cause the entries.

They tell you what files to delete as well, and in which folder(s) they're located. Obviously you've never posted your logs to a forum before. :P
