The Gathering winds down and people begin to leave there are many many quotes that are totally funny

Boboloppe Ashiwi and Sotana are in the spalshing about in the Pool protecting the beach ball of annialation from the evil forces of Rer Pril and Nekler when bobo scrambles across the pool and yells "Get away from me you Hairy bastard No means No."

Teflor from the observation deck looks out and says "Bobo show me on the doll where the Barbarian touched you"

That reminded me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoEaMzVm63g *coughs* (ok, maybe I shouldn't have posted (that))

Anyway, regardless of link... hope you all had fun :) and not too many bruises and broken limbs ;)

It's going to take me several days to comb through all the pictures and post them. Plus, I need to get in touch with Talsor to give me admin access to his website again, guess he turned it off since it has been a year and a half. So give me time, please, and don't whine at me.

Despite me breaking down from pure stress a couple of times, I have to say the gathering this year was very successful. Heh, even the ol' Cap'n came and that was so cool. We had so much fun and all those who couldn't be there were missed and bitched about (*coughcoughShevandSharcoughcough*)

I hope we'll have a better showing next year and in the years to come.

Bruises... sooooooo many bruises.

And a split toe, a massively bruised lower back from being ground against the bottom of the pool, a slight sunburn, and many broken nails.

LET'S DO IT AGAIN!!!!

P.S. Mudder chicks rule you on the go-cart track!

I've instructed Jenera on how to deal with people pestering her about pics but she's to nice so i'll say it.

Leave her alone she'll get them done in a timely manner and if you want to see them go to the gathering next time. *nod self*

Carry on :p

Your account is still there, the login in Jenera, though I don't remember what your password was. If you PM/IM me a new one, I can reset it and set you up.

Birile, it was only because Eddybear was there last year, so I missed him dearly. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet, so having you there would just take the occasion from perfect to sublime.

Oh no doubt Lilira... Okay Drache give it up, which is it??? Oh and just so people know.. Many of us have lost weight since the last gathering..

And there are still a few who could stand to put on 5 - 10 pounds.. Pril, Rer, Lazus, Touk... those boys are nothing but skin and bones.. and yes I mean that literally...

Or you're a condescending (and probably narcissistic) douche that feels it is appropriate to tell others how to live and eat. Not everybody has such a grating personality that they need to look 100% on the outside.

I'm just saying, because I'm concerned about your personality!

P.S.

I'm not overweight -- or even close :)

Well, that was SpeciaL kifle. Let's just tell these 30+ lb overweight people they look fine and to tell them if others cannot accept them, then it's for the best. 20 years down the road, when they're having heart problems, diabetes, etc., I'll know it was because i was a good friend, right!? Let's hear it for tact, and not truth :)

Drache, I think you need to chill.. some of the people in those pics aren't 30+ pounds overweight... some of the people in those pics already have health problems.. not becuase of their weight, but because of other things, like smoking and such. actually there are 3 people in those pics that are diabetic and one that has had a heart attack.. but that has nothing to do with anyone's weight... so chill.

Wow, way to turn a great thread into a feel-good festival. Two thumbs way, way up!

Seriously, though... do you really think that those of us who aren't in the best of shape aren't already aware of it? Do you think we look in the mirror every day and say to ourselves "Self, you look fabulous dahling!"

You know what? I look better than I used to. I don't look as good as I did, but I'm working on that and hoping to come out on the better end. Not that you would know the whole story behind it, but then again, I doubt it would mean anything to anybody except me.

I'm still blown away by some of the changes that people have made in their lives from the gathering since last year, and so impressed with every single person who made it there. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to spend my time with, and I count myself blessed to have been able to share even a weekend with them all in one place.

SuperDave's pic is hanging up in my bathroom, and Rer picked me up over his head and bodyslammed me in the pool. You can't judge a book by its cover.

Every year I go, I leave questioning my taste, my judgement, and my own shortcomings in the way I view people. I love every one of these people, and will count my blessings for every day I have them in my life. I have every right to be dissatisfied with my own self and wish to make my own improvements, but it will certainly never be because somebody else thinks I'm not what they think I should be. I wouldn't want people I care about to be unhealthy, but we all have our own lives and struggles, and for anybody else to pass judgement on our acceptability without reading the book between the covers... well, that's anybody's prerogative, but it's definitely missing the best parts.
