That's why I made Ashiwi's background wealthy and comfortable.

I figured everybody else took up all the available "scarred mentally/physically/spiritually because evil bad guys/wolves/anklebiters ate/burned/emasculated my parents before I was taken in by a benevolent monk/monkey/mariachi band" slots.

realy all ive got is that i was born into fighting... ye know being a dwarf and all.....

I'd just like to say that Llaaldara's history wasn't so bad.. it's just that Todrael came along and messed that all up. Ya know, the whole attempting to subvert me into his personal undead lich-slave kinda makes ya..

I ran a campaign once where three of the PCs were the last in their line due to their families being murdered. (Admittedly, the reasons, methods, and characters involved in these stories were all very different.)

Silena group-says 'he was so fat and juicy..couldnt resist'
