When I rolled up my Dwarf fighter Valrus, I didn't have a clue that at level 28 he would have as many hp in the nude as my level 43 paladin. Better hit/dam, slightly lower ac, but this was MAJORLY offset by the extra HP. I was tanking stuff at level 24 that Iaiken couldn't do at level 35 w/o a mount.

So yeah, dwarfs have it made. Strong, bearded, drunken, don't smell as bad as trolls, can see in daylight, tough ass, don't smell as fruity as elves... what more could you ask?

you know it all goes back to personal choice, doesnt it?

we can see the racial modofiers which i highly doubt we are supposed to see (yes i KNOW it is no huge secret) but damn why do we need to know the little tricks of everything??

i think with a good chanter/healer even a friggin orc can tank !!! (or an amolol ... you chose)

off topic: even seeing a snake cleric whip my ASS with his snake wisdom .. i like my duergar better :P

Ambar is right. In the end, as long as you have 200 AC worn with spells and a blur, you're pretty much invulnerable towards physical attacks except for kick/bash/headbutt.
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.
Aremat group-says 'tanks i highly suggest investing 20 silver in training weapons from cm to cut down on the losing scales to shield'
