Dying wipes your memorized/prayed spells. Res effect sets your int/wis to 1. How about making int/wis not affected by res effects so casters can remem while they're in fatigue? It seems fair since melee only has to wait until their melee stats are up.
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

Ghosting

When a player is ressurected it is instantaneous. Then you deal with the after effects.
I would think that the big and only reason for the way it is today is because of twinking and bringing players right back into the fight. We do have other options.
The first option is revive. Allow a player to be revived with full hitpoints and able to go after equipment worn and all spells returned that had not been cast.
The second is ressurrect, this can be thrown with two options.
The first turns you into a ghost. You get your xp back if successful but the entire effect takes some time. You are a ghost, able to get your equipment and reequip and mem, get hit points back. You cannot have anyone else throw spells on you or move from the room. You also cannot be hurt in any way or hurt anything in any way. Your corpse does not immediately disappear until the ghost timer is up. The only way to move is if someone drags your corpse.
The final is an additional spell. This spell would allow you to be seen and move. It would be cast upon your corpse after a successful ressurection. The only problem is that you cannot hurt anything or cast spells on anyone but you can be hurt. Think of this as ghostly visage.

I'm with Dartan on this one. I've dozed off plenty of times behind my monitor from having to wait to long, which basically, is NOT fun and why I don't mud on toril, because by the time group is finally ready, I gotta get to bed to get up for work in the morning! I like fast pace. Duris sounds a tad more appealing atm, but..heck, I've been playing WoW again in my downtimes. Christmas holidays, here I come for some more gamage!

So in conclusion, consider Dartan's, Corth, etc..if not, then at least some of these suggestions. The mud's pbase might just rise again like viagra on an old man.
