It was a wimpy flee and i have an auto return that waits 3 seconds and then assists the tank. Ive never run into this before but it seems that after a wimpy flee and in next room im considered in combat still? bug maybe?

a combat round is 4 seconds.

If your tanking (or switched too) flee out and come back in (before the next round starts and the mob realizes your not there which makes it pick a new target the first person to hit it) you will still be tanking as if you never fled.

This happens at the end of combat too, if you try to assist someone who was fighting the mob that died, even if they are tanking 10 other mobs, you won't be able to assist until the start of the next combat round because the player isn't attacking anything yet.

Use #wait 4500 or 5000.

shrug the 3 second has worked for me for about 4 months now but i wasnt switched to or tanking to begin with it was a Riposte and i was already under my wimpy set limit so it made me flee......so does that fall under that same category of switches/tanking then or new?

Stuff like this happens, you can't always rely on 'exact' time when it comes to setting your own timers up.

Hmm look over the log again - I have played a solo caster with and without pets for many years (which means i get switched to, take damage etc before I flee out and return). I haven't seen this before.

Looks like the sequence of events is as follows :
- get hit (and flee out due to wimpy)
- wait 3 secs
- try to go north (and it says he's still in combat!)

really odd.
