Elemental with cold shield (ice elemental)

Postby fobble » Fri Aug 15, 2008 5:07 pm

Could elementalists get a elemental option for Ice elemental with cold shield that mirror fire element in hp/stat? Ice ele pet would be nice to have against things that get ouchie from ice damage and I don't think it's unbalancing.

In my world ice mentals could mabye appear sometimes if you want water mental, but mabye cast it in a very cold room. I also don't see how ice mentals can be "like fire elementals". Ice is solid, and you don't get hurt like fire by chopping into a block of ice.

In ADnD there only are 4 true elemental planes. So I don't think it is appropriate to make up our own plane no matter what it is called. Except mabye for plane of leprechaun.

Require them to 'Top 'o the Mornin' to you when they attack!

I have heard about paraelemental planes, from toril we have smoke and magma. I still think elementalists in this game should stick to the 4 basic elements.

Ice isn't even a paraelemental plane (like smoke and magma). It is a quasi elemental plane. Not that it matters.

Ice is a para since it is combo of two primaries (air and water). Actually, I have a half written Ice...

Sorry, my mistake.

Messed up ice and steam.

How ice can be a mix of air and water is beyond me though.

Steam was the quasi.
