Money Transferring

Ok...so I had this idea. Since some of us tend to have a lot of plat lurking around, I figured hey...it should be a little bit easier to move money around to characters, whether it be our alts or an exchange of a large sum of money.

So...what if a command was implemented, say "accountdeposit", where we could do this? In a bank only, of course. It could be only used to deposit to our alts (with a password), or to other chars who are in the bank with you. As follows:

accountdeposit bob 5000 p
accountdeposit jim jimpassword 5000 p

Just something to help make life a little easier, I'd think.

Why require a password?

Also, when the money is deposited, have the system generate a mmail to the guy getting it, so there's no confusion.

Good idea on the mmail. I suggested the password idea because:

1. The imms won't have to worry about people accidentally depositing it into another person's account when they're not on.

2. This whole thing will only be able to be done from a bank, with both parties in the room. If you know the password of the character, you can bypass this rule, hence the ability to give it to your more physically stronger alts, or whatnot.

3. Doing this whole thing from the bank *only* keeps the whole idea somewhat thematic. Instead of acting like we're using cell phones and wiring money from anywhere in the MUD. :P

Simple way to get around this.
Go to bank. get money. put money in bag. put bag in storage. log off.
log new character in. storage access old char. get bag. get coins bag.
go to wherever you intend to get rid of the money. if you need to get
it from a good to an evil, ask a neutral race with relocate, or just
do this in BG.

No need to waste coders time with this currently imho

Agree Delmair. I'd just add that I'd love to have the ability to "get n p bag" also. I hate having to get out the whole stack of 5000 and then put the change back.

Note:
I think Targsk mostly wants the ability to use the auction with whichever character he currently has in VT/BG. That just requires perma storing the cash in the inn and retrieving the bags when you want to bid.
