CODE TYPOS

Please reply here with any and all code typos/grammatical errors you come across. Typos in the code would entail:

All non zone-related output that you receive as a result of entering a command, damage messages, skill messages, spell messages, etc.

Code typos are NOT: typos in helpfiles, typos in room/object/mob/quest/shop messages.

One of the lines in disarm code needs a return, I believe it's the one where you try to disarm outside of combat.

Garrote variable is hosed when referred to target (as seen in Acheron).

Will post more as I see it/remember, I had a huge list somewhere that I can't find anymore...afeh.

A horde of maggots burst from the ground!
A lich's spell rips into your body, and skin starts to fall from your limbs as your rot.

The last "your" should be "you".

Much the same as all the relocate spells, sometimes the transport isn't visible. (Though the transported will be receiving a message at long last.)

In other notes, almost all of the above are addressed at this point, awaiting copyover.

What's gay about that in general is that there are places, like EM, when the mud just reboots..and someone 'has control' which is Bullcrap. It won't always let you control weather in some parts of the mud. You can make fire plane cold, why the heck not places like EM ??

You need to wear a ugly hat to become a special person who can do stuff like control weather on EM. Good post time to go take a look at some typos and report them when I see em.

Ask Rags, but I'm pretty sure 'seems to have control' has to go together or it's a split infinitive. I'm sure splitting to & have is bad, not sure about the rest. Yes it is picky, but that's kinda the point of fixing typos.

Without getting too whacked on English grammar rules. I don't remember what all this crap is called, but in private school it was drilled into my head to no end. Yes, I'm sure Rags could explain it and give the absolutely correct version.

Someone seems to have control. This is a complete thought.

already modifies have

of the weather modifies control

here modifies weather (I can't stand when people use this word in descriptions. It is NOT necessary.)

When you eat damage from gas on smoke plane, or lack waterbreathing while in water, would be nice if the prompt added some warning, like "You're choking from lack of oxygen!" - similar to how beltyn's blood or lava burst lava shows you burning when you lose hp. Currently all you get are:

As you draw back your powerful recurve bow, faintly glowing vines
appear along its length. Your bow hums with power and flares bright green
as you fire an arrow at a guardian of the ebony knights, smashing into a guardian of the ebony knights with sonic force!
a guardian of the ebony knights screams in agony as the arrow impacts, and collapses
in a crumpled heap.
You receive your share of experience.
A guardian of the ebony knights is dead! R.I.P.
Your blood freezes as you hear the rattling death cry of a guardian of the ebony knights.
Your target has moved!

Nope it shouldn't. It would be "hear" is the mote said "Well, what sort of noise do you expect to hear?" But it just says "Well, what sort of noise do you expect here?" which is fine.
