Some eq is worn with no stats other than ..oh, I don't know, say !Charm or !Sleep, etc. So given that, why is it that the overbearingly overpowered beholders, for example, despite !Charm worn by players, can just go right through and cause the chaos as if you were nude.

Just insane ... and it was quite obvious during the last HB run, Beholders are INSANELY a complete waste of time to attempt. The EQ is NOT up to par with the time it takes just considering time en route to the main fight. Quite ridiculous.

!charm eq has never worked, not to my knowledge. Not on beholders, not on succubusses, not anywhere nohow nada. At least, it hasn't worked on mobs that *proc* charm, which is pretty much all of the above. I've yet to find a caster that will try to use the spell in battle..

Nocharm works on everything that has a charm proc.

Some beholders have the mass suggestion ability, whereby they suggest you remove your no charm. Because it stops them from charming you.

given the raping power of beholders, it's no wonder HB was done like, what, once in the past year? And that was extremely painful.

Hulburg is done frequently. The last fight is difficult sure, but I'm not going to change beholders anymore then I'm going to make vault remo's eat you less, liches stop proccing you pre-breath in MD, or IC2 mobs stop searching out rogues. It's the difficulty you have to overcome for that zone that makes it unique.

Its not the difficulty as much as the rarity of eq. If a lot of that stuff had higher load rates it would be quite a bit more appealing.

I thought remos were changed to eat you less.

The final fight in Hulburg is fine, its the room with a bunch of watchers or something that is just silly since every mob has the suggestion/charm proc and you can't even do normal runs unless you have the optimal group composition because you lose people so frequently. I think we ressed 4 times or more just during that fight doing "runs" the entire time.

Can't you just fill up your inventory with junk and when they suggest you to remove your !charm item, you won't have any room for it?

We tried that..yet eq removed anyway.

In my opinion, the logic behind suggestion is way faulty. Say your new girlfriend, you were told, LOVES to get pregnant. So you wear your condom. Rock on! Now during the action, what's this? You just remove your condom despite being protected?! Why, ah, that's it! She suggested it. Makes perfect sense.

Seriously, WHAT is the point of eq if a mob can just suggest you remove it. We have psionics here . . er, sorta.
