Since this era of the RP Sphere on Toril is over, do you think we could use our current RP points for restrings?

I'm open to letting you all use them for something, and restrings for a decent number of poitns seems reasonable. The problem is, I'm not sure how many points everyone has. I'll look around and see if the RP sphere left a list somewhere...

Might be a good use for prestige too... older players and rp players that have 25,000 prestige or something.

I think a restring should be vallued at bout 15,000 - 20,000 prestige. I know alot of people dont have this kind of prestige but restrings should be rare and far between too. Not everyone gets them, but for those that stick to a class and build up prestige by leading zones every day, or rp'd the presstige, or sit on ship all day and help people exp alts, those people deserve some reward for all their extra effort.

Well prestige and RP Points are two different animals. It also would unfairly reward melee classes. Drahken (Illusionist) has 2000% xp which is pretty damn high for a mage and his prestige is just barely over 8200. There is no way your going to reach 15000+ prestige via leading, or even xp, with the way xp/prestige works now unless your one of a few classes. I wouldn't be against using prestige as an award system, but I definitely think it unfairly favors certain classes.

I can see that and maybe do 15,000 for mage/priest and 20,000 pts for a melee class.

But i know Lil doesnt sit around doing exp and didnt get involved in rp events yet has over 30,000 prestige.

Pidibeple is around 27,000+ so i know that its doable as mage and priest classes if you play those classes enough you can get the prestige for sure.

I dont want everyone that zones or plays to get restrings. I do want those that put the effort in to game to get rewarded for it.

The only problem with prestige (kinda) is that it works well if you only play one character for the most part. But when you alternate between alts you start splitting up the prestige too much between them.

This is all kind of a moot point since there hasn't been an update in 4 months.

Yea thats true Malia, but remember that you used to once upon a time get bonus prestige for killing things like dragons which has since been changed to be 1 prestige per 1% xp after 50.

Okay - looking into revamping the RPQ sphere and I want to give some things out to people who participated in the previous storyline. Rewards are up for discussion, what would people want?

I have nothing against restrings. My issue is that restrings SHOULD be special. People that worked really hard or have given alot of effort towards the rp sphere should probably get one but if everyone got one they lose their vallue

I just dont want to see them on every alt is all... it should be something to strive for not something you get on your first run.

Bind restrung items to the character who earned the points. The ability to trade any item to any character has made mudflation far worse than it would've been otherwise (not that after this long it wouldn't have overwhelmed the game anyway).
