The Northern Hall of the High Temple
This, drab, almost featureless hallway leads south into the heart of the
High Temple of Vhaeraun, as well as the epicenter of the city itself. The
entire hall is constructed of sleek jet black admantine culled from the
mines far below the city. The floor and walls are perfectly polished,
showing no signs of scratching onr scuffing. No illumination whatsoever
exists here, as the priests are more comfortable in utter darkness. A
massive painting is built into the western wall here, depicting a scene
of terrible violence. The carefully constructed painting shows the site of
a large battle in a stalagmite filled cavern, where dozens of drow bodies
litter the ground and a small knot of red armored drow stand triumphant.
The hall continues to the north and south, and a small door leads east.

I'm referring to the shaft/pit thing I think is on the snake island, or in some evil area. You can shift into that just fine. There's some mean dude at the bottom too if I remember right.
