If it's a mob that flees then yes it's common. Happens all the time on air plane with the fleeing mentals.

If you're using those multiple volley target spells like minute meteors one volley could hit the mob while it's in the room with you, thus triggering whatever flee process it might have, but when the mob flees the others will follow it wherever it runs. It's funny to watch a mob flee into and out of a room more than once, or have to go hunt the corpse down several rooms away.

This fact begs the question - why can't you target next room w/ MM (minute meteors, magic missile, earth darts, any projectile spell.)

I've thought about requesting this numerous times, but figured it would just get shot down. Imagine the cheese possibilities if all mages could lure!
