The Bottom of an Enormous Spiral Shaft
Here at the bottom of the huge spiral shaft, the reflected light allows
you to see nearly to the very entrance to this immense underground system
of tunnels. Huge deposits of ironite and obsidian glitter with the blasts
of firelight which originate from the beasts that inhabit these tunnels.
Bits of bone and old odds and ends of metal are strewn about this area
from the many brave adventurers who have met their doom on some level of
the shaft, having fallen to their doom. An etched warning in the stone
proves to be unhelpful as it states, 'Beware the call of the Lady Master',
as any who have ventured this far have rarely lived to realize its meaning.
The pathway to the north will take you back up the shaft and the huge
entrance to the south opens into a lair of incredible proportions.

A pile of unidentifiable blood and organs rests here.
Corpse of a zealous griffon is lying here.
A faint nimbus of smoke wafts around the hooves of this fierce nightmare.
