A basalt outpost, little more than an encircling wall,
surrounds the top of the volcano. The stench of sulfur is
almost overpowering here as gases seep out of the very ground. Heat
radiates from the volcano only to be swept away by the fierce
winds. Inside the volcano's maw a narrow stairway descends
into the fire. Several large fire giants guard the outpost as this
is one of the only portals to their realm of Muspelheim. A
narrow trail, apparently made by the fire giants, leads down the face
of Mount Siva.
