Since we are going to have all new stats, will we be able to change race as well? Don't know if it was mentioned already, but will there be new races for pc's?

There hasn't been any mention of this that I'm aware of, aside from the open question of whether barbarians are being changed into regular or arctic humans, or something else.

You will not be able to change the race of existing characters. You also cannot change the class - unless you are a mage, in which case you can choose to generalize or pick a specialty class.

Are half-orcs going in, and if so, are they going to be the total suck that WotC made them, or are you gonna make sure they are at least on par with those goddamned god-favored dwarves, preferably by knocking a few horns off of their dwarven helmets?? (seriously, the worst case of fundamental imbalance you could find).

Well wasn't it said in a homeland post that one of the races from homeland was being brought into Toril? Just curious what happened to that.

I think we also should be offered a namechange when we are offered a racechange.
