Is there anything out right now that will run in X.2.3? I hate using Classic.

You could download Tinyfugue or tintin++ and compile it. however, unless you have either apple developer tools installed or some kind of development software, the compiling can be hairy under OS X.

You would then launch a terminal window and mud with one of the above mentioned clients.

If you wish to pursue this avenue let me know. If you are looking for a GUI client, just do a google search:
