Anyone got suggestions?
I'm using gnome-mud, it's a cheezy zmud clone, doesn't support variable arrays :(
Linux Xwindows Mud Clients
Linux Xwindows Mud Clients
As long as we live in this world we are bound to encounter problems. If, at such times, we lose hope and become discouraged, we diminish our ability to face difficulties. If, on the other hand, we remember that it is not just ourselves but everyone who has to undergo suffering, this more realistic perspective will increase our determination and capacity to overcome troubles.

I use mcl
http://www.andreasen.org/mcl/
It supports python or perl for scripts, uses perl regular expressions for triggers, has windowing support
but it's not x-windows.. it's console based, but you can run it in an xterm... which is perfect for me as I normally remote into home via ssh to run the client.
It's also in portage (for those of you running Gentoo)
Try this:
www.mudmagic.com/mud-client/
Seems fairly OK (although I still prefer tinyfugue in an xterm personally).
