My settings all got corrupted the other day so I've been rebuilding from square one. Just about got everything the way I want it but I keep having one recurring issue I can't remember for the life of me how to fix.
The problem I cant seem to squash is it capturing <P>, etc, when capturing other things I have setup like status messages when I get bashed/tripped/etc. I know it's a really simple thing to do but I cant remember!
Brain dead!

Ok, based on your post I am sort of guessing you want to make a trigger on text in the prompt? If that is not the case then my advice is wrong.
If you want to make a trigger that works on the prompt go to the "options" tab of the trigger and check "prompt". Most of the time if you have a prompt trigger then you should uncheck "newline". So uncheck that.

Im probably not explaining this very well, so here is a better example:
Any S-MSG captures to my Messages window. The problem I'm having is the first one captures the postion status in addition to the rest of the line.
I want it to ignore the postion status when it captures to the new window so everything is nice and neat.
Code: Select all
You complete your spell...
Drahken tries to dispel your magic!
You try to dispel Drahken's magic.
Your displaced form snaps back to your physical location!
Your shadowy scale armor dissipates into nothingness.
All of your mirror images have been destroyed!
Your sight returns to normal.
and you have some success!
<776h>
<P> :WIZ-MSG: Phantom Armor has dropped.
:WIZ-MSG: Mirror Images Out!
:WIZ-MSG: True Sight is out!
A dock hand leaves east.

I assume instead of capturing the text then you can just write it to the window.
I never used the focus tool ":", but mabye I should examine that :-)
Code: Select all
#TR {Your shadowy scale armor dissipates into nothingness.} {#window {Messages} {MSG: lost phantom armor.}}

heh i use display twoline, cant stand the hp number with the position under it.

You have completed page 7 out of 8 of whirlwind into your spellbook.
I also use #echo command, helps to capture and see whos bashed who in situations where casting mobs are nasties.
IE: #echo PC sent NPC sprawling!

I ended up just going with the #window function and some subtle audio alerts for important things. I could have sworn there was a way to ignore capturing things before the start of your string but I guess not!
