Hi everyone,
This connection problem I have been having boggles me. I have DSL and use a wired router. The problem I have been experiencing is after about 5-10 seconds after I log into the game, my INTERNET light on my DSL switches from green to red. I can reboot the DSL modem to get internet connectivity, however, every time I try to log into the game, I am faced with this problem.
Anyone else encounter this issue? It doesn't matter which program I use to log into toril either... I can use rapscillan, telnet, zmud- they all produce this problem.
Can this be a sign that I play too much???? lol. Please advise.
Thanks,
Acader/Elires/Hali
connection problem =(

It could be some bug with the hardware that is already fixed. If so you need to install a patch on your DSL modem.
I at least did something similar with a router I had. It was done by inserting an extra cable to it and telnet to it via the COM port.
If that is the case you can most likely check your ISP for latest updates for your hardware. If your ISP homepage don't have something like this then it's prolly something else.

I had similar problem once on my old machine. It was caused by some spyware that reconfigured some of my internet settings for me. Since that time I have always used spyware programs.
As far as your router settings, try using a different port as the one that connects to your primary machine. Especially if there is only one outlet being used. Some routers like single connections run out of a certain port.
