Tell - saver

Postby Bibbe » Sat Jan 27, 2001 4:48 pm

Ok someone just asked me how I stored tells and gsays in a separate window. Like an answering machine. I was pretty bored so i figure i'll just post it here. It's really basic and simple but perhaps someone enjoys it.

Click here to see what i mean

Anyways the trigger i use is:
#TRIGGER {* tells you *} {#CAP tells}
#TRIGGER {* group-says *} {#CAP gsays}

Also in the new windows (small ones in the picture above) i use this triggers.

#TRIGGER {tells you in (%w)} {#SUB :}
And the same with groupsays...
this swaps the words so it looks like...

Klurg : Heya u old fool wanna do TF?

instead of

Klurg tells you in common 'Heya u old fool wanna do TF?'

the waste of space is annoying : )

Hey bibbe your link seems broke in that post.
I do want to try out the #SUB thing though. That will look much cleaner on mine. I also have #CAP Shouts, #CAP Skills, #CAP Says, #CAP OOC Don't wanna miss a thing :)

Oh it's that darn fortunecity....
the link works.. hehe if you click on it and post the url in this window instead it should work. Dunno why fortunecity is like that.. sorry thought it was gonna work.

Yeah the Sub is nice.. though i only use it in the cap windows.. i want the original window to show the whole line.
