editing zmud triggers (win32 style)

Postby vurad » Mon Jan 29, 2001 7:36 pm

what am I doing wrong!

Zmud 6.10, when I click the "triggers" button above, and go into the menu to view all my triggers etc....i cannot edit the actual action! If i click on the trigger, it highlights. If I click a highlited trigger, the first portion opens up for editing...but I can never edit the trigger! example below

lets say I create a trigger on the command line by typing this:

#ac {sends you sprawling} {st}

now if I click the "triggers" button I see
Trigger: sends you sprawling Action: st

If I highlight, and then click the trigger the "Trigger: sends you sprawling" opens up for editing...and I can change the LEFT SIDE ONLY of the trigger.

But I can never edit the "st" part. I have clicked it, highlighted and chose edit from the file menu or whatever, right clicked and chose edit...nothing!

Does that make sense? Is there another (hidden) window somewhere that comes up? I have my screen maximized, and its always on top, so I thought perhaps the editing window is hidden....I have no clue....some Zmud master help me figure this out.

First you may want to upgrade to 6.15.

I did your example in 6.15 and here is what happened:

#ac {sends you sprawling} {st}

I clicked on triggers from the menu bar

A pannel comes up titled "Settings in Memory Sojourn3.mud

I clicked ok the trigger "sends you sprawling"

At the bottom of the pannel there is a subpannel labeled "edit trigger"

There are 3 tabs "Pattern" "option" "test"

I clicked on "Pattern"

3 fields come up "Patten:" "Style:" "Value:"

I changed the text in the "Value:" field from "st" to "stand"

I clicked on svae in the upper right corner of the subwindow.

Everythign seems to work fine.

Actually you should upgrade to version 4.62 :)
