MUD Client for Linux PPC/Yellow Dog Linux

Postby Ruhr » Wed Jan 31, 2001 6:39 am

I was wondering if anyone knew of a MUD client that will compile on Linux PPC/Yellow Dog Linux (these a Linux distros for the power macintosh/G3/G4 line).

I couldn't get Tintin to compile, so using windoze for now.

Linux + cable modem is much faster though...

Might want to look into tinyfugue. I have no idea if it'll work, but it's the only other unix mud client I can think of atm.

Tinyfugue is about the best, you can find RPM for Redhat if you look hard enough and cant get it to compile from source w/o troubles. There is a nifty X frontend for TF if you run the Gnome Desktop or try Kmud for the KDE Desktop (another client entirely) a third option might be a client called MCL.

later!

It's a bit hard to get the hang of at first, especially if you're used to zMud. I found tf to be a great client after I got past the initial learning curve though.

Good luck! :)
