One of my all time personal favorites is:

Trigger

Pattern: head bouncing along the ground
Command: say There can be only one!

this works when you get the kill and you're wielding a 1hs weapon. Now I'll see it everywhere... oh well, enjoy! Image

At one point me and Tol had a running joke with our triggers. Tol's stone out trigger would set off my "tol's mom <insert sexual verb here> <insert person here>" trigger, which would set off Tol's "Corth eats <disgusting bodily excretion>" trigger, etc, etc..

very spammy.. and we got some weird looks when we were in groups Image

Trying to build up a personality with triggers sucks so much.
Everyday you see people with triggers on R.I.P that mourns and utters prayers and shit .. fuck people if you want to roleplay don't do it by creating triggers... roleplay for the moment..

not saying your stuffs was meant for roleplay corth. But there's a lot of mofos using all that shitty stuffs trying to build a character.

Bibbe, I gotta agree to a point. Obviously, and we've all been in groups like this, if someone is spamming triggers on every event, well, that sucks. I think the gist of this thread was for some creative triggers.

Personally, and a lot of people will agree, I think having triggers beyond flagging events like blinking strings (you loose your concentrating, your payers are complete, etc) is pointless to playing an imagination based game.

Triggering should only be for vital stuffs that u really cant do fast enough without em. Like Rescues, picking up weapons. Extensive triggering leads to performance loss.

I don't remember if it was an alias or trigger, but way back when I made something that would either trigger off the group command or call the group command and analyzed the health of each group member. Depending on the percentage of hit points to your max it would color each name in red, green, whatever.

Now this was a long time ago like a shareware version of 4.62 or something and was incredibly so so it wasn't very useful in battle but I wanted to see if it could be done.

P.S. it looks like Galok already beat me to it in another thread. Kudos to everyone else that's done it. I guess I need to be less smug and read more.

The best Trigger ever in the history of Sojourn/Toril is Silverast.

What? You really thought his personality was just really that dry?

I found that this trigger was really helpful on Soj2.
Enjoy!
