Linux Color Term

Postby Innova » Thu Jun 20, 2002 7:42 pm

I am currently using gnome-terminal, but the colors seem to suck. Can anyone suggest a good term program for Linux, that has full ansi color support?

I think I used to use Eterm, but don't have it currently installed, does that work better?

There is a version of Zmud floating around designed for Linux.. or if you know any programming you can always buy the developers version of Zmud and re-program it for Linux.. or you can get a windows emulater and see if Zmud will run with it Image

I use rxvt (which sucks and is old as dirt I think), but mess with the colors like so:
rxvt*color8: blue
..and such in one of my dot-files (.Xresources, but you might not have that).
Finding what colors are supposed to go where was a pain...

But then there's probably some easier point-and-click thingy in gnome to do this for you.

I've always found eterm to be buggy, but ymmv. I use wterm myself (it's an rxvt derivative)
