It's been a long time since I used tintin, but for a time I'd needed .tt++ to get anywhere. Not sure if this helps or not. Image

Always post a log of what happens when you have this kind of problem.

You might need a file called tt.conf in your home directory. It's for the damn chat stuff recently included... Look for tt.conf in your installed or source directory and move it to your homedir. Yeah, it's daft. Edit it to set "ENABLE" to 0, I think that should make it not nag about chat crap.

If you have no tt.conf, make one with just the line:
ENABLE : 0~
- it might work.

But I'm just guessing, as you had no log...

I dont think you need a tt.conf. It should look for either tt.conf or .tintinrc. But basically what you would put in there is a text file with a line by line listing of aliases and stuff that you dont want to keep type in.

So basic sample .tintinrc or tt.conf file.

--Begin-- (No this is not part of the file)
#alias {sojourn} {#session {sojourn} {sojourn3.org 9999}}
#alias {do_something} {bash}
--End--

My .tt.conf file looks like the following and resides in my home directory (linux).

#nop {These commands are necessary if you want #path, #return, ... to work.}
#nop {Please leave them in your alias file.}
#pathdir {e} {w}
#pathdir {w} {e}
#pathdir {n} {s}
#pathdir {s} {n}
#pathdir {u} {d}
#pathdir {d} {u}

Mine is just a default file as the software was recently installed. Dunno if it will help or not though.
