i'm sad i didn't get to post no socks day may 8th.

but armed forces day is the 16th. and what better way to celebrate the sacrifice they are making for our freedom than by hitting vegas hard.

my brother who is in the arm forces will be there so it is valid. not just an excuse to go to vegas. not like you need one, cuz you're not suppose to talk about the trip anyways.

A day where my preferred radio station to listen to just prior to 6am almost made me vomit..

Most folks wouldn't dare put anyone through this before midday on any day, but Kit (on the 1233 am radio morning crew) playing the song (Whitney Houston's "So Emotional") at 5:50am Monday morning has almost made us suffer a fate worse than death.

We are on the eve of another S.M.I.T (Significant Moment In Time (S.M.I.T.) event - when the figures in the time & date at a certain instant in time form a significant and/or interesting pattern)....

On Friday 7th August 2009, at 5 minutes & 6 seconds after 4:00am, the time & date (in the common Euro / Oceania format) will be: 04:05:06 07/08/09

This exact S.M.I.T. abbreviation will not happen again for another 100 years.

Having said all that, the situation has been handled, so this thread is pretty much at an end. -Kossuth

The SuperMoon (Lunar Perigee) this weekend - the Moon will be closer to Earth than it has been in 19 years. Expected to pass as close as 356,577 kms away (that's just over 27,800 kms closer than the ave. of 384,403 kms), the Moon should appear about 15% brighter and slightly bigger than usual. Let's hope for some good views of this Full Moon rising tonight..

Yea, it looks like the Full Moon technically occurs around 4:40am Sunday 20th March, but as it's not visible from Australian East Coast then the next best time will be as it rises in the East Sunday & Saturday evenings, by the looks.

There'll be a few fairly high tides the next few evenings as a result of it, but nothing extraordinary. There's guaranteed to be a few more ferals out tho!
