Thesis

Postby Kifle » Tue Apr 29, 2008 9:56 pm

Ok, well, I'm writing my last paper as an undergrad and I plan on including it in my grad school application portfolio, so I'm wanting it to be as well structured as possible. Usually, I don't think much about the thesis and just allow it to follow my usual style; however, this last one is giving me quite a bit of trouble.

Anyway, the question is, is it just as acceptable to have a segway paragraph that leads to a thesis paragraph, or is it better to just have the thesis paragraph and that's it? Usually I just write a thesis paragraph, but the subject I'm doing the essay over lends itself to have a sort of into or disclaimer before the thesis. Anyway, what do you guys think?

Yup. You really set yourself up for a good comment in this thread about learning to read/write or English 101.

But really, I'm just posting this because I know you'll click on the link that'll let you read this post.

My suggestion is that you try the library for well structured papers similar to what you were going to write and borrowing from their styles. Call it research.
Teflor does. Teflor does not.

there's always getting feedback from the professor, seeing how he/she'd like to receive it.
