The similarities between this thread and the Raisins south park episode is uncanny. What a awesome way to start off 2009.

Sarvis... I'm not sure what to say on this one or how to respond. The guys above are acting like twits because there's no way they can take you seriously. I don't want to make you feel bad, but you make it very obvious in this thread that you're clueless.

There are several types of customer service purveyors, especially in the sales and marketing industry. There are those who are in it for the quick money, they take a fast "no" and move to the next rube. There are those have a hard time taking "no" for an answer and keep at it. Then there are those that have better skills at reading their potential clientele, and can figure out that if they just cultivate a "no" over time, it will eventually lead to a "yes."

The third type of salesperson is the one who hits on old ladies, flatters old guys, gets together with his customers for a beer to talk about football and gardening, and holds hands and whispers sweet nothings into the ears of her sugar-daddies-to-be.

You've been rooked by a professional.

Here's a really easy rule to go by. If you know a girl for any length of time, especially if you've already been on a date with her, and she tells you she's "too busy" when you ask her for another date, she's not interested. If she were interested, she would likely make an attempt to meet you for a date, or would let you know when she's not busy. There's not a single person on this planet so busy they can't think about their calendar (or look at it, if they're that busy and that organized) and tell you what day they have available to go out with you.

Seriously, I'm not trying to make you feel bad. Run, do not walk, away from this chick. Stop digging your trench deeper.

Another thing... if you want a woman, be assured of yourself enough not to fall for a stripper, and certainly not to chase after one who obviously doesn't want you. Women can pick up that kind of neediness and they run from it.

As for the rest of you guys (except Laurel and Kiryan) ... dorks.
Gormal tells you 'im a dwarven onion'

Just when everyone else had my hopes up...

I dunno. She doesn't strike me as being that good of a salesman. I certainly don't see her putting that kind of effort into other guys. Maybe that's just more wishful thinking.

We'll see tomorrow night I guess. Either I don't go and hope she contacts me, or I go and see how she acts when I'm reminding here there will be no more dances. I keep alternating between those options. I think the first is probably the better one, but I don't want to never see her again.

I wish it were easier to believe she's really too busy...

lol, professional. I'd hope someone with these advanced tactics of seduction and deception would aim for a juicier target than Sarvis. We're not talking Mata Hari here.

I'm still betting on the dysfunctional, but mostly legitimate, relationship theory. What can strippers get in abundance? Objectified attention. What do they classically lack? Attention for their personalities, their attributes beyond the dancing and the makeup.

I wonder how yarash is doing with the awesome advice he got here. Did anyone suggest strippers?

Logic like this will get the best of you.

Lose the emotional attachment, it won't help you get the girl, it won't make not getting her any easier and you'll waste a lot of time, energy and money.

exactly, location dependent right above the hole.

Can't argue with Ashiwi's logic. Even if it could work out for a long term relationship or marriage... why invest in such a low percentage shot? Theres a lot of chicks out there, try and find one with out any glaring negatives. Its just like hiring someone, look for a reason not to hire them. Don't get suckered into taking a chance on the 1/1000 that it might work out or may even be special.

"how to just decide the emotional attachment away" grow some balls and quit start being a man in RL instead of just exercising your testosterone on the forums. someone said soemthing about chicks wanting an emotional/sensitive man and not a manly woman. Quit being a manly woman. seriously you cry like a little bitch over chicks. f*k women go pull your pud in the shower until the smell of pussy has no hold on you. Use conditioner its better than soap and cheaper than lotion. No chick worth having wants a weak ass boy like you.

Also that quip about treat the ugly ones like princesses and the pretty ones like dogs is dead on. Ugly girls will adore you and pretty ones will be intrigued that you are different. You didn't have a shot at the pretty ones anyhow so no loss.

GD i gotsa go hang out with Corth. especially that chick with the tiny waist and scripture. Just the kind of girl i wanna make baby momma #2 once they legalize polygamy. Of course gormal would have the kiddy porn. I love the duck hunt one LOL. bang bang bang

Sarvis you said that you had gotten a couple dances from the other girls before Kayla...

How often did you go to the strip club? And man you'll never find a girlfriend of normal sanity there. (sorry 99% chance of not finding one)

If you want to meet a girl for a real relationship join clubs that are of interest to you. I'm sure there's something like the "Whiners Club or Upstate NY" or something or join ad&d circles or shrug i don't know all of your interests but you can do anything mountain climbing, camping, i etc. I don't know about NY but DC has a web page: http://www.thingstododc.com/. There's always people doing stuff that are reasonably normal. But if you're trying to find normalcy in a strip club you're never going to succeed.

Corth,
While i approve of tramp stamps the 3 girls you posted were "Eh" at best. There are much hotter girls with tramp stamps...

I'd probably been there like 4 times total before meeting Kayla, over the course of like a year and a half. Really though I'm not sure women of "normal sanity" exist anyway, so I'm not overly worried about that part. So far she seems sane though, I mean other than the possibility of her playing me for the cash. Which is kind of sane anyway... the way college students need money.

So I went to see her at work tonight, and she didn't come in. I love being back where I started!

Oh well, for some reason this little discussion has me feeling a lot more centered on the matter. I still want to see her, but I'm not longer sad. Actually, I'm not even too disappointed she wasn't there... which is a big change from other nights she couldn't make it to work and I missed her.

Somehow you guys seem to have helped. So thanks!

So today, Kiryan asks me why I don't have a tramp stamp. I said "you don't like tatoos". And he said "oh, yeah". And then we began talk about all the ladies in 50 years with stretchy, saggy tramp stamps. Yummy!

That's an odd thing to assume... after all it's not like she couldn't juggle a couple bidders if she wanted.

We're not talking about a date, we're talking about her being at work. she definitely CAN juggle various bidders in 3 hours at work. It's her job to do so!

She just doesn't always show up to work, it's far more likely she was sick or just didn't feel like coming in. Hell, she could have just been avoiding me if she's just realizing how attached I was getting... but I doubt that.

Re: Kiryan lays down the law

After my divorce when I had first moved down to Florida, I frequented strip clubs. In fact, one was down the street from my apartment, happened to be the only one in the county - which is odd for Florida in and of itself. It was my "bar" so to speak, as I purchased the "VIP" card for about 20 bucks, which got me free cover and a $0.25 discount on beers at the bar. I could drink all night and walk home. Which I did. A lot. A couple of girls actually became friends with me, and one of whom still keeps in touch even though she moved away and got out of stripping. I guess, for me, what changed my perspective towards this one girl was how I was treated on a particular Easter. She invited me over for a home cooked meal with her family, since I was alone with no family in state.

This girl was my "inside girl" in the workings of a strip club. There was one particular girl, with whom, I felt as Sarvis. I was alone. I was desperate. She was hot (even outside of the dark-lights). They'd invite me for after-hour breakfast at the local Denny's when they got off work - the night crew - including the girl I was interested in, and the other girl - my friend.
from
The interest-girl and I actually went on a few movie dates. As interesting as it sounds, it wasn't. Nothing happened. I envisioned myself as this "gentleman", who wasn't just after what was in her pants. Yeah, well, we all delude ourselves every now and then. And, sometimes we want to believe the illusion.

Well, regardless, I soon learned from my inside-girl, that interest-girl was banging just about every JoeShmo with a fat wallet that walked in the place. Illusion broken.

They're there for the money, bro. Even inside-girl - my friend. She'd admit it. It was her job. She knew men, and she knew how to separate their money from their wallet.

Yet, what really separates the BEST dancers that the club likes (brings in money and clients), verses the other dancers that the club tolerates (brings in clients, pockets most the money) - is that the BEST dancers know their business - they're dancers, not prostitutes. Their regulars (the ones that come in to see them) know what they're getting (and what they're NOT getting).

However, the other girls, attempt to bring in regulars using their other skills - that of opening their legs.

I got a lot of stripper numbers over that year time period while I was figuring things about after the divorce. Stay away bro. Most of these girls have issues that go DEEP. Most men like to feel they can "fix stuff", but you can't fix people. You can't rescue them. You can't show them "love" and hope to "save" them. The only thing you're going to receive out of this "relationship" is a low bank balance.

Strip clubs are fun for a bachelor parties. They're fun when meeting old college buddies that you haven't seen in a couple of years. Hell, there are some strip clubs that are so forsaken, so filled with bad talent, that it's entertainment in and of itself watching these poor souls fall over themselves on stage.

Strip clubs are NOT places for your regular hang out. Not much good can come from it. There is a life style that surrounds them. It fills the place, it lingers with the employees from the bartender, to the bouncer, to the girls, and especially the owner, it filters it's way into your mind as well.

Find somewhere else! At the risk of becoming an alcoholic, you could hang out a sports bar instead! :)

See, the thing that really sucks about my life is that I can't meet people. You met a ton of strippers and got their numbers... I haven't, despite spending the last 4 months in that club every weekend. Even the nights Kayla wasn't there I only talked to a couple girls briefly, long enough for me to turn them down for a dance.

On the other hand... when Kayla _is_ there I'm rarely alone long enough to talk to any of the other girls. We'll talk, she'll decide she needs to work some guys over and then she's back after hitting on a couple.

I know it's nota great place to hang out, though I haven't noticed any "atmosphere" permeating the place. I'm not thinking I can "save" her, or anything like that. Frankly I don't think she needs saving. Although if she is playing me she should probably try her luck acting!

Hrm... this post isn't at all coherent, is it?

So... where's a good place to meet a girl? You should go somewhere that reflects your interests. If you have a particular religion you like, go to a church of that faith. If you like food, go to a particular restaraunt often, or maybe a cooking class. If you like sports, go to games, join a club. If you like D&D, go down to a local game shop and find out where people are playing. Actually, there are little stores in almost every town where gamers are. If you like stupid girls and have smooth moves, maybe you can meet a girl at a club. If you are like Howard Stern, go to the strip club. You want to meet a girl that reflects your values, hang out where she would hang out. I met my husband online through something we both enjoy. That's where you will meet someone. And just because you visit once and there aren't any girls there, get into whatever it is, and Mrs. Right may just come along eventually. Make your life around something you enjoy and a relationship will find you when you aren't looking.

Oddly enough, that's kind of what happened with Kayla...

Oh and Kiryan asked me again today why I don't get a tramp stamp. Then had to explain to our 10 year old what a tramp stamp was. And then the children started using the words "tramp stamp" like they were normal everyday conversation. Way to corrupt, ppl. Way to corrupt!

seriously, get it through your head. EVEN if she wasn't f*d up, EVEN if she might actually have feelings with you, those are BIG IFs. Get your shit in order and take a high percentage shot.

I doubt you are young enough to be a part of that lifestyle (partying all night with strippers) or rich enough to afford spending time in strip clubs. Don't try to tell us how Kayla is different.

You got a dozen people here telling you to RUN AWAY, but you keep trying to find some angle where it could work. GIVE IT UP. NO ONE thinks its a good idea and there is literally nothing you can say that will change that. We aren't suddenly gonna go pro kayla. Shes a stripper and you have to be a special kind of f*kd up stupid to do that. Seriously, hot skinny girls bone just like overweight girls in the dark and since you aint shit, a trophy wife doesnt do you any good.

and quit whining about how you can't find any friends/gf in RL. seriously if you are really that lame, then maybe you should start listening to the rest of us instead of continuously arguing with people who are apparently vastly superior to you in every way. Your personality sucks, change it. and don't argue with me about how you can't. you suck, do it.

Puppy love is not love. It feels like love and it hurts like love when it's over. But believe me, I've been in puppy love before (stupid Toarn) and the entire world knew it was nothing, but I don't think anything hurt worse than that. It is not a relationship when it is one sided. Her treatment of you may seem different and that may have made you fall. This is puppy love even if you weren't looking for it. What I am saying is make something of your life. The point of not looking for it isn't my point. My point is make something of your life.
