Finale pt1 TONIGHT!

I liked it.

Only thing that really stuck out to me as awful was how they resolved Cavill himself (no spoilers for people who haven't seen it). I'm going to have to go read the post-interviews to find out exactly what the hell that was all about.

Got to see my favorite character choke the shit out of my least favorite character, so that was nice.

All Along the Watchtower is a running theme throughout the show.

I gotta agree with Ragorn...afterall that buildup, Cavill just resolved too easily. But overall, I thought they had some fun with pulling all the threads together at the very end without going overboard. At least, I laughed. (was I not supposed to laugh?)

I talked to Joe about this yesterday, but I think Cavill's end suited him well. He was consumed with a need to control his own destiny, and it was obvious that he wasn't getting out of that room. Hands down, the first half everyone agrees was awesome, up until Starbuck jumps the ship. Then things get controversial. I liked it in the context of the early seasons, though lately they've gone too far afield from the original ideas and many people felt screwed over.

Its always been a show about religion, but I did feel that using a dues ex machina so literally was a bit heavy-handed in the way they sort of threw it in your face. Starbuck's vanishing act was lame, and Lee just being like "o okay no biggie" was silly.
