they are unionizing day care providers? en masse, by taking the dues out of state subsidies? holy shit, thats all I can say. they held a "vote" where 15% responded and forced the other 85% into a union whether they wanted to be in one or not. Where the hell do they get the right to hold the vote in the first place of truly independent and private businesses / individuals. essentially forcing these people to vote to NOT join an organization? Seriously, da f*k

Michelle Berry runs a day-care business out of her home in Flint, MI. She thought that she owned her own business, but Berry's been told she is now a government employee and union member. Kiryan, Kiryan, Kiryan. Don't you realize that you're only 5 years from being a government worker and union member? If you keep talking like that, they're going to beat you in your house and take yer jerb.
Re: da f*k
Now THAT is fucked. Unions are fine if they serve the purpose of protecting the workers and they are a majority vote. Unions are useless and destructive when they get greedy or force membership. When it fails, and Michigan becomes even more of a shithole, maybe the government will realize how destructive unionizing can be and actually start to regulate them with EVERYONE'S best interests in mind.
