tanning and addictive behavior link...

This article is ridiculous, but I post it for 2 reasons.

1) We are building a case to outlaw tanning in the future or treat it like a vice (alcohol / tobacco). There is a tanning bed tax in the healthcare reform law. There is legislation to ban tanning based on age (targetting minors).

2) They are looking at the wrong thing or implying the wrong thing. Tanning doesn't lead to addictive behavior... or is inherently addictive (in my opinion). It exposes people with addictive predisposition towards addictive behavior. Specifically the ones who are over conscious about their looks. I mean, I bet you could link being "poor" with addictive behavior, but is it being poor that makes you addictive or is it addictive behavior that encourages you to make the decisions that make you poor. Ah bollocks, Obama should just outlaw being poor.
