Non Political Question About the Oil Spill

Postby kwirl » Sun May 30, 2010 12:48 am

Anyone know who or where one would go for information regarding the operations for cleaning up the area down there? I'm going to be moving down south anyway and while I was hoping to find some kind of entry level IT/Customer Service work, I have a feeling that if I could get paid to do grunt labor that is helping save jobs, economies, ecologies and resources then why not?

The worst that happens is that part of my resume gap includes a few months spent helping to salvage/save/repair our coastline from devastation.

Hazwoper is an OSHA certification you have to have to be allowed to handle the oil.

I know somebody doing some clean up ... she basically just googled "oil spill jobs" or whatever and there was a ton of options.
