Napolitono advocates trading civil liberties for security

Postby kiryan » Mon Jun 21, 2010 5:07 am

I don't even know how to start complaining about this. Its irritating on so many levels, theres the whole civil liberties crap that pisses me off, then theres the whole "we were against it before we were for it" from the administration while still bashing Bush while following him lockstep. This quote stood out:

"Her speech is sign of the maturing of the administration on this issue," said Stewart Baker, former undersecretary for policy with the Department of Homeland Security. "They now appreciate the risks and the trade-offs much more clearly than when they first arrived, and to their credit, they've adjusted their preconceptions."

The Democrat party: defenders of the USA PATRIOT act, internet monitoring of regular citizens, and military tribunals at Guantanamo Bay.

So, why are people voting for them anyway? Because they support the gay marriage that Obama and Joseph are against?
