Why are Republicans so desperate to vilify Obama that they resort to lies? You have plenty of legitimate gripes with him based on philosophical differences as well as mistakes he's made, but Republicans have to stir shit up anyway.
A friend of mine just "liked" a page on Facebook dedicated to "stopping Obama from renaming the Christmas tree to a Holiday tree." There are tons of credulous people on that page arguing about how horrific Obama is for doing that.
Only, it's completely made up. A hoax: http://www.factcheck.org/2009/10/holiday-tree-hooey/
You wonder why Republicans get a bad rap from Liberals? It's because half of you make this crap up and the other half believe it without question.
Why are Republicans so desperate...

Re: Why are Republicans so desperate...
and Democrats never make anything up?
Lets take a look at what PETA is saying.
Lets look at the UN and global climate change.
Lets look at what the speaker of the house lieing that the DREAM act "is not amnesty"
yea thats pretty weak counter, more conservatives probably believe stuff that is undeniably false than liberals.

Yes, it really is... especially since those are all issues open for debate rather than blatant lies to discredit a specific person.
You could probably find something with Bush, at least, but there's so much _actual_ shitty things he did that we don't have much need to create fiction.

It's called anger. Same reason why so many people made up things about Bush.
