Haiti relief effort, disappointing

Very valid question, I was wondering myself what was going on with Haitians still living in tents, the recent disease outbreak etc...
Did you know there is a 40% import tax into Haiti? So for the most part, you really just made a tax donation to the Haitian government. (except for the organizations that had exemptions).
On a side note, no wonder Haiti lives in squallor, 40% import tax.
