'"I had a problem with the Saddam regime," he said. "I wanted to get rid of him and now I had this chance."'

Interestingly enough he doesn't regret it despite 100,000 civillian deaths.

"I tell you something when I hear anybody – not just in Iraq but in any war – [is] killed, I am very sad. But give me another solution. Can you give me another solution?
"Believe me, there was no other way to bring about freedom to Iraq. There were no other possibilities."

Saying that should weigh quite a bit on one's conscience is an understatement..

So does this change your perspective on Bush?

This guy appears to be practicing the same ethics that justify universal healthcare, the ends justify the means.

No, not at all. We knew the intelligence was bad over five years ago. This guy is just taking a page out of the Republican playbook... create a lie that people want to believe, and they'll believe it.
