I've been waiting for this one for a while. Pet liability insurance... at first at least just liability, but but eventually all pet owners should be required to carry pet health insurance.

Instead of this, they should simply make the owners liable for their dogs to begin with.

We don't do it with healthcare or car insurance...

if your dog bites someone most people aren't going to be able to cover the costs... let alone if it kills someone

your dog is a living creature capable of suffering and deserving of dignity (well at least there are humane treatment of animal laws). Healthcare for your dog is just the next logical evolution.

I don't think I agree. We all know that gay marriage legislation opens the door to pet marriage, and then you can just sign your pet/spouse up under your own federally-mandated healthcare package.
