Suggestion for improving some zones

Postby Oggsk » Tue Dec 08, 2015 3:31 pm

How about removing !locate flags on some items in zones such as Magma? Currently magma gets done about 1x a year because its such a roll of the dice as to anything loading and everything is !locate or hidden so you have no idea what your getting into and its such a long boring zone that it just gets avoided...

Magma is done infrequently because of the poor loads, but also because it's just an awful experience to kill the same shit over and over for hours.

But mainly the poor loads. The big items at the end need to load more often, if not some always.

I don't think that just removing !locate flags is the answer. Magma seems to me like a zone in need of some design changes. It needs equipment load/stat tweaking as part of a bigger effort to make it more fun at the same time. Any volunteers?

Shev,

Do an official post and gcc in game LF: zone writers. I'm sure some people will volunteer that have wanted to. Same thing with coders, I think there are a few.
