The mob tracked into the room while hidden, beat down poor Tida before she could blink, then proceeded to track me around while I was hidden. What's up with that?

If your being tracked by a mob it shouldn't make any difference if your hidden or not. While he shouldn't attack you when he enters the room, hiding isn't going to erase the trail you created to the place your hidden at (Footprints etc)

Might have something to do with this, dunno tho.

No, I'm pretty sure this is how it's always been. At least, a couple months ago when the tank of a ship group I was in was killed by Miplit he tracked me all over ship even after I hid.

It wasn't my preferred way of avoiding Miplit but I had used up all of my invis slots by casting on the rest of the party. So... I got lucky :)
