Scry Remains

Postby Davester » Thu Apr 10, 2003 8:16 pm

Dumb newbie question, from a dumb newbie...

Why does Scry Remains require consent? Too powerful? :P

Follow up with....why doesn't clairavoyance require consent?

I just like to see where the latest and greatest Corpse of Corth is lying :D

TIA....

it's my understanding that Scry requires consent because upon scrying remains the 'corpse rot' timer starts just as if the corpse were touched, looted, or dragged.

wrong, it's to prevent shamans from scrying people's corpses to see where they died so they can wait to loot them.
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

Wow what a total waste of time and effort. By the time you get scry remains if you need to use it in this manner to improve your gear then you truly suck as a shaman.

I'd have to agree...I mean, player_x if he has bada$$ gear, he's probably going to have enough friends available to help him with a CR that have the same CR skills as a lone shaman, which are hmmm invis? lol...

I don't know about other shamans, but i have a lot better things to do than keep casting scry remains on a corpse for up to two hours :P

scry remains doesn't affect the timer on your corpse
