Bug in disarm

You fail miserably in your attempt to disarm a drow merchant.
A slender green trident lands on the floor.
get trident
wield trident
Bug in disarm.

This was with a secondary weapon but no primary.

Another observation about disarm. I assume that this is a bug:

Sometimes when attempting disarm, my AC will get about 50 points worse and stay that way for roughly 5 RL MINUTES. It doesn't matter if I remove all my EQ and requip. It doesn't matter if I rent and come back. It doesn't even matter if the mud crashes and I log on again. When this first happened I petitioned about it and a god (Talos?) said he would look into it. But that was weeks ago.

Can we get an answer on this?

If the AC penalty is supposed to happen for whatever reason, what is the justification for it lasting 5 mud hours?

If you want to really disarm a mob, find a druid to group with you and dust devil it! Works _almost_ every time, especially in the outdoors. Image

Every time you fail disarm, your AC goes up 10 or 20 points. Virzakizan noticed this first and posted about it on another thread, which I'm too lazy to look up to find you the URL Image

Two other bugs with disarm. Blind mobs can pick up weapons you've disarmed from them and also block you from picking up weapons you've disarmed. Also I found one mob,I think it was the chief in the tower, auto bashes you if you try to pick up a weapon disarmed from him,but he was autobashing while he was bashed.
