sleep

Is there any indication of when sleep will be fixed? It's been broken for a very long time. It's annoying that you can't sleep mobs at all with spells or proc weapons, because they will get right up again.

If you are using Nightbringer, there is a reason they get right back up. As to the spell, last i knew it was working, so if it's broken now, it definitely should go on "the list".

Sleep is, and has been, broken for some time. I've posted about it, petitioned it, etc, etc, and have seen over 4 different threads with it mentioned. Hopefully it's on someone's list somewhere.

If I remember right, it's the same problem minor paralysis has, where toggling vicious off doesn't prevent you from breaking the spell the next round.

Shev said he "fixed it" a few months ago when summon insects was under the knife, but to my knowledge it's still broken.

I never fixed anything about sleep..

I seem to recall hearing it was broken, but it looks like it slipped under my todo list radar...

What exactly is the problem?

well when nightbringer procs sleep, the mob hasa rude awakening right after it falls asleep and you are still in combat, i dont know if its a problem with just sleep or with sleep in combination with vicious being toggled off but they arnt working together as they should be.

same thing with minor para (i assume major para?) you paralyze the mob but continue to hit it even if vic is toggled.

It would be nice to put a bright ansi next to the mob saying (paralyzed) or (sleeping) if the spell is successful. -shrug-

Sorry Shev, should have been clearer.

The problem is, both sleep and minor paralysis (and all minor paralysis spells I've tested) don't cause you to disengage once they take effect. I don't have a log available, but here's the effect:

You begin casting the spell.
You complete the spell, and enter post-spell lag.
The mob becomes paralyzed or falls asleep.
The next round of combat begins and you attack the mob, breaking the sleep/para.
Your spell lag wears off.

The spell is intended to disengage you after the mob falls asleep, but for some reason vicious doesn't recognize that you're fighting an incapacitated enemy, and you immediately break the spell.
