Bug in disarm.

I petitioned about this, but got no response..

Here's what has happened.. I was praticing disarm (on ogres in Forest of Mir..) when I got the message that I had dropped my weapon, appended by a "Bug in disarm." I had not actually dropped my weapon.. but this continued throughout the fight (with me dropping and the mob supposedly being disarmed).
Accompanied with this is the fact that when I hit "attr", it reported my AC as 41 (it was really -89) and then after armor faded, it said that it was 59 (which makes even less sense).
I had noticed my AC to be misreported in the past, also after disarming.. don't know if I had the "Bug" message that time, since it was spammy and I just rem'd all and put it back on and my AC was reported correctly again.
This time around, renting fixed my AC reporting.. and I fought a few fights with it still misreported and didn't seem to get hit any more often than before..

But regardless, here's the log.. maybe someone can check into it (oh.. and this might be important.. the mob was dualling, and I disarmed the primary weapon first (with no error messages). It was only when I went after the secondary that the bug showed up.. I've also not had time to see if this is the cause tho.

I have noticed this with my warrior too - so much so after the fights I fail disarm in I need to rent out to fix my AC

Here's another interesting snippet.. As soon as I phantom drop my weapon, my AC got 40 worse.. as soon as I caused the mob to phantom drop again, it went back to where it was supposed to be. (Note, my AC is 10 worse than I had said in the earlier post.. this was because of weight.. and may have also been the same in the previous post.. but that doesn't make the AC41 and AC59 earlier any less strange)

And one other trial..

I did the same mob without disarming the primary weapon first.. same thing kept happening when I tried to disarm the secondary.. And this time, my AC went something like this...

Iunno, this has happened to me, too. The AC thing is a normal side effect of your disarming attempts. Why it's that way, I dunno. I got the bug thing after I tried disarming something, disarmed myself, and my weapon got ganked. So I was wielding a secondary and not a primary, and every time I tried to disarm after that, it'd say I fumbled and then there's a bug in disarm. I petitioned about it and I was told it was because I had dropped my primary weapon. I completely missed the fact that some bum picked it up. He met a nasty demise later.

Well.. as we all know, it doesn't just happen when you've dropped a primary (particularly when it doesn't actually drop, heh).. Image

And with regard to the loss of AC.. yeah, Kia told me that it's intentional.. and I can see how they'd want to make you easier to hit WHILE you were disarming.. but setting you back to NATURAL AC for 5 or more minutes after you've finished the fight seems extreme/illogical.

It's just as logical as the punishment for a missed headbutt.

Thread outlining the fact that your AC can get 50 points worse and stay that way for 5 RL minutes (5 in-game hours), and the question posed, "If the AC penalty is supposed to happen for whatever reason, what is the justification for it lasting 5 mud hours?

Personally I don't think I experience that bug anymore as I guess my skill is high enough to exceed whatver conditions gave it before, but it sure would be nice to see something changed about that, as it is illogical for the 50 point AC penalty to last for 5 game-hours.

RL Disarming:
There are a couple of methods of doing this, I assure you that if there is any risk in the attempt it is miniscule so long as you have a good sense of timing and have a weapon of your own (at least this is true with piercers, haven't tried it with slashing weapons other than knives).
