Let me in on the secret

Postby Zrax » Tue Nov 13, 2001 10:14 pm

Why is it that we can look at something in combat but not exa something in combat. Is there a difference other than syntax that I am missing here.

You can look at anything in combat, hopefully you're looking at the fellow you're swinging a blade at. Examination indicates a much closer, detailed inspection. It would be like trying to determine how many karats in a diamond while parrying.

When you look at something, you quickly have a once over. When you examine something you open up all the pockets, latches, belts, rummage through the contents, etc...

Try it on a backpack...

Oh, duh me, yes there is another difference besides just syntax. Look at a container then examine it some time, you'll see the difference.
