Tiamat

Postby Todrael » Sun Mar 10, 2002 11:01 pm

03/10/02 Quest Additions
- Major changes to Tiamat and the Tiamat-zonelet behind Avernus, balancing
it against Sojourn 3 mob/player power standards. I and a few others agree
that Tiamat is definitely doable now, but only by the truely elite kind
of players and it will still take 4-8 real hours. You can still very
easily fail, but the ridiculous elements of her proc (like insta kill
on a 1 in 8 chance) have been removed, other aspects downgraded or tuned.

Do the special considerations for grouping size limits and such still exist? Is this now a 15 person zone?

not that I know of... as I understand it even with 40 ppl you wouldn't have been able to do tia. But now, it's a real possibility.

As long as any dragon can wing buffet, tailsweep, breathe and start casting a spell basically all in the same round, then Tiamat will probably be next to impossible. When a single dragon spanks a decked out group of 15 people, just wait for multiple dragons in a single room. And then if they can roar you into rooms full of other dragons....whats the point?

yeah, I have a odd feeling the rooms of dragons leading up to tia will cause more spanks than tia herself due to wingbuffet Image

Considering 100 is the average deaths on Tia, 80 isn't bad.
