thunder lance????

Does this spell really break missile shields?

I've actually managed to catch a couple caster mobs with their pants...er..globes down and shields up. Never ever have I seen thunder lance shatter a missile shield, or anything else for that matter.

Its bad enough that it cant go through globe and would be useless in 98% of the situations where it could be useful.

Thunder lance is one of my favorite spells cuz of the look and dmg. Even if it cannot be made to go through globe, it would be nice for it to work for most, if not all, of the other 2% of the times globe is actually down.

So, have any other mentalists seen Thunder lance do this recently? (maybe recent changes to missile shield nerfed it?)

Indeed, Globe generally only stops damage.

Thunder lance doesn't break missile shields, nor does it claim to (specifically). However, this was admittedly an oversight, and I'll look into it getting that capability added.

Ah, one of those urban legends? I guess that's kind of what the point of my post was...asking if it really does that. If not, then what is it supposed to do? Thanks for looking into it

It breaks prots on mob, specifially cleric mobs since they prot themselves. And that does work through globe.

I've only ever seen it break minor globe, and that was only once =)
