Newbie tunnels, map error or feature?

Postby rhogben » Fri Jun 28, 2002 5:07 pm

Maybe this is common knowledge? But there seems to be a path where you can go west where you shouldnt be able to, and when you return east (or north, west, south) you end up in a different spot than you started? Quite confusing, but maybe a feature? It certainly helped me to get very lost!

i remember that, it was odd, seems to me that someone could've forgotten an exit. but sojourn maps hardly follow the one room = one non-overlapping square format.

The newbie tunnels are rather newbie unfriendly... the rooms don't align, the descriptions practically all the same, many exits are one way (aka teleport) and to top it off there are (or were, a while ago anyway) single file rooms.
