Unlike the purely human characteristics of most of the crew, this
wilderness guide appears to have some elven blood as his features are
generally finer with slightly slanted eyes. He wears a dark green cloth
shirt beneath a worn woven leather vest, the weaving done in a clever way
so as to almost blend into brush and foliage if the guide is unmoving. A
pair of similarly woven leather breeches tucked into a pair of high dark
leather boots completes the ensemble. The scabbard of a long curved blade
is suspended at his side, the handle looking well worn. He speaks in a low
voice to the rest of the landing party, giving instructions on the local
flora and fauna as well as the target of their mission.

His body seems to be made of stone!
His form is blurred and difficult to make out!

So just what was the builder trying to say about rangers anyway? I know this is going to go off in the cheesy section about rogues, but if you didn't want him assassed all you had to do was raise his level. As he is, the ONLY thing that can kill him is area spells. Any chance this can be looked into?

Targetted spells work on mounts same as area spells.

Heh, okay, so I erred. All I know is I had to keep area spell scrolls on hand in order to be able to get a certain quest item for a certain nice set of handwear because it was on a mount mob.

Can this be changed or are melee classes not supposed to be able to do these mobs?

Ooops :P He's not supposed to be a mount, lemme look into that.

Sorry, the statement it made about rangers was just too funny for mudmail. Doesn't everybody want a ranger mount??? ::grin::

There are several follow flags in the .zon part of a set of area files.
I believe it is type 3, that you use to group a mob, and have it mount the other one... I believe this is why this is happening, someone just used the wrong group code.
Either that, or its just flagged as a mount, but im pretty sure it looks the the group flag.

that command doesn't work unless the thing is already flagged mount.
